Our customer makes a line of pre-formed concrete products. The concrete needs a label that adheres to the raw, cured concrete product. Oh, it needs to be weatherproof and have UV resistance too.
What in the world adheres to concrete?
We supplied a number of sample adhesives. Through testing, we found the perfect adhesive.
What about the ink?
We found when the new concrete gets wet, the rainwater mixes with the concrete dust and turns into a mild acid. This acid was dissolving the ink. We used UV resistant inks and placed a clear lamination over the label to protect it from the acid. With the super adhesive already tested, we have the perfect solution.
